THERAPIST
Megan Begley, LCSW
Experience and credentials:
My interest in holistic behavioral health practices first developed over twenty years ago when I began using nutritional approaches, yoga, spiritual philosophy, 12 Step, and distance running to overcome anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and substance abuse.
I completed a Masters in Social Work at the University of Kentucky in 2009, returning to school after a decade to pursue a helping profession, and am credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the Kentucky Board of Social Work (License # 3943). Clinical social workers train to work specifically as mental health treatment practitioners, but with a theoretical orientation in social systems and social justice.
My previous experience includes correctional mental health intervention, outpatient community mental health treatment, Hospice grief counseling, and over five years as an opioid addiction therapist in medication-assisted treatment.
Professional certifications and specialized training:

-
