MEGAN BEGLEY, LCSW
Megan Begley, LCSW
Megan's interest in holistic behavioral health practices first developed almost twenty-five years ago when she began using nutritional approaches, yoga, Eastern spiritual philosophy, and distance running to overcome mental health challenges.
Megan completed a Masters in Social Work at the University of Kentucky in 2009, returning to school after a decade to pursue a helping profession, and is credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Clinical social workers train to work specifically as mental health treatment practitioners, but with a theoretical orientation in social systems and social justice.
Megan's previous experience includes correctional mental health intervention, outpatient community mental health treatment, Hospice grief counseling, and over five years as an opioid addiction therapist in medication-assisted treatment. She has training in clinical hypnotherapy, EMDR Therapy, EFT Tapping, Internal Family Systems, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and Mental Health Nutrition.
